New strategy R-2: Let the Wookie win.
This is specifically about wine and its ratings, not about the alcohol industry.I'm glad you're sober.

“it's often observed with fast reproducing organisms such as bacteria, however I don't know if this would be truly "speciation"[qoute] "the birds might even return to the fold of their parent species, and merge with them through interbreeding."I was under the impression that speciation is said to have occurred in sexual replicators when they can no longer inter-breed. If these birds can breed with the original group then are they not just a separate breed? close enough to interbreed but far enough to have observable differences.Still always good to see scientific inquiry at work

The telcos shouldn't be touching phones *at all*. It's like buying a flatscreen from Bell or DirecTV... it just doesn't make any sense. Hardware companies need to be given back control over their own phones, and the carriers need to focus on providing solid, nationwide coverage - not on re-branding and marketing other people's stuff. And yeah, buying only carrier unlocked phones (screw CDMA networks, by the way, they're just asking for it) from hardware companies themselves would put an end to the "want this phone? Too bad, it's only on carrier X" situation.?

Or possibly that America, er, sucks. Poor basis for comparison. Let's try another economically-developed western democracy - say, the UK: 79.4. Beats all of the above!

Illegal or not, XBOX live is a service Microsoft provides. They have the right to deny that service to anyone, and it's pretty fair to say that most people who modify their consoles do it to pirate games. Microsoft has every right to refuse service to people who steal their games. If they bricked the xbox's so they couldn't be used at all, that would be ***** up. As it is though, Microsoft is in the right.

On the one hand, nobody likes a nag. On the other hand, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and caught it quite early because my girlfriend at the time sent me to the doctor. So ladies, don't be nags, but guys, sometimes its best to just do what they say. |
