How environmentally friendly are these when everyone has 10 of them and all you can see for miles is spinning blades? All flying creatures will be effected and the noise from thousands of these things will surely increase noise pollution considerably.
Gah, this is depressing. Let's get our sh*t together, America!

“the best part about your comment is that you don't say who are the righteous and who are the ignorant onesso your post would work for both people who believe it's a hoax and people who don't :)

Poe was American..
I was just out in the wind farms (read: industrial complexes) out in Oregon. Thousands of turbines providing half the power of a single small scale natural gas plant, unreliably, for more than twice the price, effecting thousands of acres of prime farm land. The kicker is that they dont even have the proper transition lines to move the power anywhere productive. When the wind gets going, the dams have to power down to keep the system from overloading. The whole thing is just not thought out very well. For alternate energy to do any good we need a better grid.!

Amtrak does sort of compete with Union Pacific. Each industry gets it own unique amount of scrutiny. The Internet mostly takes on telecommunications and banking. Demographically, hippies/treehuggers like to blame the oil, pharma, and Monsanto for all their problems.Government takes part in a certain industry because they feel that the private sector can't really help (pre-existing condition, being a clear cut example of a profit motive). Corporations were originally, for the public good. But things change.Kind of like Finland which is large welfare state, the government holds 40% of the market share in wine and 60% in hard liquor. They don't, however, get involve with telecommunications because Nokia is doing a pretty good job with that.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altia

The thing is, @sHockz, there's really no such thing as "proof" in science. There's just evidence, which you've been presented with time and time again, and which you completely ignore. Just 'cause you don't like the evidence doesn't mean it's not true.
