Of course you could walk across the country, it would just take a long time and MANY steps. A metaphor for how it would take many small steps of micro-evolution in order to reach something we could refer to as 'macro-evolution' wherein we have a totally new genus (is that the word I want?) which can no longer breed with the original animal (actual evolution). This is of course possible, like walking across a continent, it would just a long time and many many individual steps.Personally, I think that was an excellent metaphor. Kudos..
yet ... no one mention how much criminality has incremented since Chavez got on power. Most people care about the deaths in Iraq or Afghanistan... but there are more deaths in just Caracas on a weekend because of criminal acts than the average week of 'the war against terrorism'!
