Well here is the thing.... if nothing gets passed and things keep going the way they are going do you expect them to get better or even stay the same? We are not in a stable situation you can't use the whole "if it ain't broken don't fix it strategy" when the system is getting closer and closer to collapsing. It will be sad when all these "SOCIALISM EXTREME!!!!" voices wonder why they have to pay $250 just to see a doctor and need to mortgage their house if a loved one has to get surgery. I guess your only worth a damn if you can work yourself to the bone, if not then too bad.
That's absolute *****. The iPhone single handedly killed WAP browsers on phones, gave us visual voicemail, centralized App Stores, and incorporated a bunch of other stuff, like Multi-touch and the accelerometer, technology that while not new, had never been seen on a phone before. The iPhone also made large flash storage and large screens, the new standard for smartphones. If that doesn't make the iPhone iconic, what the ***** does a company have to do to be considered iconic? And I'm tired of hearing about this "open" ***** and Microsoft. Most people don't like Microsoft because they make crappy software. Period. No one cares about Microsoft being "open," except in those instances where you can't avoid their software, like at work (Word, Excel, etc). But that "open" crap, at least the way you say it, sounds good to geeks, but most people don't even know what it means. So the geeks might digg your comment for the "stick it to the man" tone, but at the essence, what you said is just baseless Anti-Apple rhetoric, which has no bearing why people actually like the phone.

Capitalism is the generation of real value and wealth.Socialism is the theft of the wealth of the productive for the benefit of the non productive. All government is worse than non productive, it is like a parasite draining it's host of life..
Immortality would come through biological immortality, basically all your cells running perfectly forever, so if you were 80, you'd probably end up looking 25 in a few years after you were treated.Next, with 6 billion people on the planet, you think any of us would have access to immortality? Or even this organ regrowing technology?1 organ is the best most people will get I assume. It's not gonna be cheap, or easy to keep an organ on hand for everyone.!

Yup, if you look at Adobe's Flash support page, for the current Flash Player 10.0 it mentions hardware acceleration support and that it would depend on the GPU used:http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/systemre ...However, previous it was a lot more limited to what is now available with the new Flash Player 10.1 beta. I don't think previous that Flash was using the GPUs' H.264 video decoder available modern GPUs, which it is now thanks to Adobe teaming up with companies like NVIDIA, AMD, Intel and Broadcom.?
Apple's plan to control everything has hit a wall? Imagine my shock."Apple has some valid reasons for blocking certain programs"Like this app does something for free that we want to charge for? Hardly a valid reason, that's called competition and it's something that Apple's not a big fan of. |

When I lived in Beijing (studying at a university) the students taught me how to set up a proxy server that would allow you to circumvent the restrictions the government put in face. It seemed pretty common-place among university age students.

Your misconception is that the universe is expanding from a point. It's not. It's expanding from all points simultaneously and always has. There is no 'ground zero' for the big bang. The Earth is, effectively, the center of the universe because it is at the center of a sphere that has a boundy that is the distance light has travelled since the beginning of time.
